STEM Healthcare Career Exposure Helps New York City HS Students Explore the Drug Therapy Development Cycle

The Approach:

During their summers, NYC high school students explored various healthcare careers and connected with mentors from Trinity Life Sciences. Employees led small cohorts of students through case studies and research projects designed to deepen their knowledge of the healthcare field and drug development process.

Outcomes:

Students gained valuable career and leadership insights via career path exploration, guest sessions with professionals, and team projects. 71.4% of the students reported feeling highly empowered to achieve their college/career goals.

“My knowledge expanded so much from learning about the endless jobs to learning about the journey of professionals in the field…I deeply enjoyed learning about the journeys of all the professionals that joined, it gave me assurance to do what I believe is right.”
